Digi is organizing a competition on the Deep Green Challenge. This competition is open to IPTAs and USM has been invited to send in 3 teams. Cash prizes of up to RM70,000 to the finalists. The first challenge is for energy efficiency in the mobile industry and the initial submission is due by 1st September 2009.

Prof Lim, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Industry & Community Network), has given the green light for our students to participate.

Digi will send a team from KL to brief the interested students on the competition. The Digi team has agreed that the briefings be done on Monday 10 August (morning at the main campus and afternoon at the engineering campus). 

At the main campus, it will be held at E 48 (A) from 11.30- 1 pm. Monday 10th August 2009.

Can I humbly request for you to inform the students (potential participants) to attend to the briefing?
