1986-87

Lightweight Structure

(All images, couetesy of Makmal Foto HBP, once under Puan Carmen Cheah and Encik Adnan).

Once USM's Pesta Convo was hit by a heavy tropical thunder storm. All of the convo kiosks collapsed, with casualties. We thought HBP would be able to contribute by generating "instant architecture" which USM could just mass-produce and build it during convocations (actually it doesn't work like that; the production of convo kiosks is an annual giveaway to bidding companies). Anyway, the studio took on the job.

Came submission,  some are ready; some still needed the last minute lab help. Although students got the help of lab assistants, Poudzi (welding) and Kamaruddin (steel cutting) it almost always meant that students got to dirty their hands.

Submission Morning

More often than not, it's about working together; doing and leanring with HBP Lab Assistants, Poudzi and Komaruddin.

All Structure-Packs were placed in front of the studio.
