THE ORGANIZER

The 2nd International Conference on Built Environment in Developing Countries (ICBEDC 2008), which will be held on 3rd - 4th December 2008 is organised by the School of Housing, Building and Planning, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). The venue will be at USM's main campus, Penang.

 

CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES

ICBEDC 2008 will provide a platform for discussion, dissemination and exchange of up-to-date information on built environment, including issues and challenges faced by the built environment industry in developing countries. The main objective is to accumulate solutions and to make recommendations on ways to achieve holistic sustainable development in these developing nations. The conference also aims at fostering cross-disciplinary discussions and networking to further enhance and enrich the knowledge of academicians, researchers, policy makers and industry professionals in built environment. The conference program will feature a few keynote speakers, who are internationally recognized experts in their areas as well as paper presentation by both academia and industry practitioners alike.
