THE ORGANIZER

The 5th International Conference on Built Environment in Developing Countries (ICBEDC 2011), which will be held on 6th - 7th December 2011 is organised by the School of Housing, Building and Planning, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in collaboration with the School of Natural and Built Environments, University of South Australia. The venue will be at VISTANA HOTEL, Penang.

CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES

ICBEDC 2011 will provide a platform for discussion, dissemination and exchange of up-to-date information on built environment, including issues and challenges faced by the built environment industry in developing countries. The main objective is to accumulate solutions and to make recommendations on ways to achieve holistic sustainable development in these developing nations. The conference also aims at fostering cross-disciplinary discussions and networking to further enhance and enrich the knowledge of academicians, researchers, policy makers and industry professionals in built environment. The conference program will feature a few keynote speakers, who are internationally recognized experts in their areas as well as paper presentation by both academia and industry practitioners alike.
