The ICBEDC 2011 will be held at the VISTANA HOTEL, Penang, Malaysia. It is located in Bayan Baru, at the outskirt of Georgetown, the capital city of Penang and near to the well-known Penang Bridge, which connects the Penang Island and mainland of Peninsular Malaysia.

HOW TO GET THERE

1. By Air:

Malaysia Airlines System
The national carrier flies several times daily between Kuala Lumpur and Penang. Please visit

Air Asia
Air Asia is Malaysia's discount domestic carriers. If you book well in advance you can get some absolutely rock bottom fares. Please visit http://www.airasia.com/ for enquiries.

Firefly Airline
Another Malaysia's budget airline. The airline is a subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines (MAS) and utilizes Penang International Airport as a base of operations and hub. Firefly flies from Penang to domestic destinations of Langkawi, Kota Bharu, Kuala Terengganu and Kuantan 14 times weekly as well as to Koh Samui and Phuket in Thailand 7 times weekly. In addition to the above, Penang is also served by Thai Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Garuda Indonesia, Lion Air, Cathay Pacific, China Airlines, China Eastern, China Southern, Korean Air and Xiamen Airlines. Planes arrive at Penang's International Airport (airport code: PEN) at the southern end of the island. It's about 15 minutes by taxi to reach Vistana Hotel. The fare is fixed at RM 30.00 (USD 9.50) for taxis from the airport to the conference venue.

2. By Road:

The opening of Penang Bridge linking the mainland of Peninsular Malaysia to Penang Island has facilitated driving to Penang. A charge of RM 7.00 is levied on all classes of cars at the toll plaza in Perai on the mainland. No payment is required for traveling from the island to the mainland. Please follow the road signboards showing the route to Vistana Hotel  to reach the conference venue.

3. By Ferry:

From Butterworth, it is necessary to take the ferry to Penang Island. The ferry service is available around the clock for both passengers and vehicles. Tickets are purchased at the Butterworth terminal and the rates are applicable for a return journey. Fares: Adult - RM1.20, Children - RM0.60. A flat rate of RM7.00 is charged for vehicles. . It's about 30 minutes by taxi and 45 minutes by public bus to arrive at the conference venue. The fare for taxis is approximately RM 30.00 while the bus fare is only RM2.00
