The Town Planners Act 1995 recognises town planning as an activity which must be undertaken only by professionally trained town planners. The Act comes into effect on 1st January 1996. Below is an extract of the provision regarding the registration of town planners with the Town Planners Board. The mechanisms for registration is in the process of being finalised by the authorities.
